Famous Grouse Smoky Black

Well I get that it’s a bottom shelf blend but honestly for the price, I thought it was alright. Nothing to get excited about but great everyday pour. Sweeter than I expected from the nose. No real “smoke” but rather some slight earthiness. A bottle you bust out of the cabinet when your buds are a few drams in and now switched to drinking for effect.

Easy drinking, the smoke or peat somes off a little sour for me. A bit like vinigear and black olive. I don't mind this dram, but it's just not great for me.

Peat & smoked notes, some acetone & alcohol grain at the end. A lot more peat & alcohol n the palate, smoky. Very aggressive tasting & harsh with a burning alcohol finish; definitely needs some water to smooth it out some. The body is smooth, smoky & oily with a linger peat & alcohol burn at the end.
