Smooth Ambler Big Level Wheated Bourbon

Simply awful. Big ethanol nose and not much after that. Tasted very young and not worth the price! One of the few whiskies that I couldn’t improve with water, ice, or mixer.

N: Light fruit P: Sweet that turns pepper. Weak mouthfeel F: Mid-length with a bit of spice

Nose isn’t good, rough at first and finish. Reminds of some un-aged bourbon that costs much less.

Typical bourbony smell with a bit of a musty note - reminds me of corn tortillas. Nice, tart sweetness up front. Pronounced peanutty flavor and long, oaky finish. Notable burn for a wheated bourbon. There’s no rye present in the mashbill, but there’s a spiciness there that could’ve fooled me. All in all, not a bad drink, but probably not worth the price..

Smooth and worth a try at a relatively reasonable price.

Smooth like the name. A good contrast to the spicier bourbons that I have.
