Strong peat and brine on the nose. A lot going on with this one in the palate. I get bacon, leather, sweetness and smoke on the palate. The finish keeps going with briney ocean waves, a lingering smoke and finally caramel apples. This is kind of blowing my mind right now as a relative newcomer to single malts.
Very strong in the mouth, gets softer as it goes. Woody, cinnamon, baked pastry’s… were the first notes that came along. Very nice to drink. Ice block (the way I currently enjoy) really smooths the taste and makes very easy to drink…
Aromas of frazzles, but a flavour that doesnt match. A strong and long lasting taste with a alcoholic breath.
Lightly peated with peppery, savoury, almost beefy notes.
A nice tipple, but imo not a 'session' whiskey.
