Initially bitter this beaver sac really opens up if you let your mind do the same. Notes of grain, clove, and even sour berries emerge. It’s young and it shows but at this proof and volume it’s all about the experience and novelty. Pick it up. It’s a fun change of pace for the palate.
Nose: As a trapper, this definitely has the musky smell of castor but not overpowering at all. Heavy maple and slight brown sugar
Palate: Almost a “musky” palate, maple, vanilla, hint of “breakfast” flavors almost like bacon grease-esc.
Finish: very smooth with a hint of menthol later on the palate.
