Second taste edit: I still get plenty of oak spice, and the sherry comes through with a rich red fruit midpalate. It has a moderate finish with baking spice and cherry. I’m having it right next to the Sherry Oak Cask and I prefer the barley and oak featured in this one.
Mostly vanilla on the palate. It’s light, but not thin. Slightly herbal nose. I can definitely tell it’s double oaked because of the oak spice and vanilla. Enjoyable scotch.
