Thomas H. Handy Sazerac Rye (Fall 2023)

Pretty nice. Very rich and sweet and classic buffalo trace. Not obviously a rye. Little hot for my liking but the rich sweetness definitely was stronger than the alcohol.

Nose: lots of red fruit, hot tamales candy, touch of licorice Palate: black tea, jammy stone fruit, more cinnamon spice Finish: finishes with some bourbon notes like caramel and brown sugar. Big rye notes as well 7 on the t8ke scale

Very good. The pop of spicy sweetness on the front of the palette is an experience. Finish hangs for a while

This is the pinnacle of rye whiskey, such an underrated BTAC bottle. Its the perfect combination of sweet and spicy. No dill, no pickle notes. The palate brings caramel, apricots and allspice. And the finish is spectacular with spicy chocolate/coffee lingering on your palate. My wife, who hates whiskey, thought this was delicious! This bottle is worth the money.
