Tomatin 12 Year Bourbon & Sherry Casks

Crazy fruit, lighter as well. Little oak. A much different whiskey than others.

Beautiful nose, easy to drink.

Read some reviews suggesting that this may be a good budget buy based on my preferences. However, this turned out to be a disappointment. Tastes okay, but the nose just isn't there to consider this a decent Scotch. This may be a decent option if you're going to mix it. I prefer my Scotch neat so I think I'll be sticking to the $50-$200 dollar range going forward. Monkey Shoulder is the same price but much better.

Red apple on the nose. Honey and vanilla on palate. Spice builds quickly in the mouth.
