Tomatin Cask Strength

A full and rich carmel taste, lots of nuts and fruit as well. Love it! 🥃

Nose: Pancake syrup Palate: Sweet, marzipan Finish: Long scout finish.

N: spiky, warming spices, orchard fruits (red apple), orange, vanilla. Later on the alcohol bite gets muted. P: rough, spiky, peppery, bold, sweet. Feels young. F: chilli, nuts, bitterness, bit herbal. With water much more nuts.

For a cask strength 57.5% ABV (115 proof) whisky, it’s surprisingly flavourful. You get some sweet fruity aromas and flavours, but only after the strong alcohol forward notes on the nose and palate. When adding a splash of water, the flavours definitely soften up a little and allow them to come forward a little more, you still get a good mix of sweet and spicy!
