Town Branch Bourbon

After the first few sips it gets better. A little smokey but ends up with a nice taste. Wouldn’t consider this a smooth bourbon.

Picked up at Jungle Jim’s on a whim. Easy sipper but nothing special.

70 Nothing special Sweet Vanilla Mellow Cinnamon/ clove Grainy grass I would not buy a bottle or really care to revisit after having twice. The 10 year is definitely better and worth trying but again not worth purchasing a bottle.

Cleaning out my mother in laws cabinet... first up this... yellow. Legs oddly slow for any proof, let alone 80. Corn-predominant sour sweetness, oak and aldehyde on the nose. Palate is thin, sawdust, Cheerios, dried fruit. Medium finish. Nothing unexpected - which is not a compliment. Needs to grow up and will revisit once it comes of age and isn’t so watered down.

Lots of oak/hay grass flavors on the nose and palate. Tried it neat and barely finished the first glass. Tried it as a mixer and it’s just got such a dominating flavor that it ruins a lot of cocktails. Overpriced with a low ABV but will make a nice infinity bottle when I’ve muscled up the strength to finish it. 7/30/2020

The smell alone drug me out in the alleyway and kicked my teeth in. Someone out there likes this, bless their heart.
