I don’t typically drink gin straight but I always will taste it straight to get a full representation of the flavor. Classic juniper flavor with citrus notes. But this one has a definite oily nutty note probably from the sesame. Very smooth and mild with a slight alcohol harshness. Great in a gin and tonic with a couple dashes of cardamom bitters.
Might be my new favorite gin. I don’t like strong pine sol flavor so this is perfect for me. Slightly edges out Sunset Hills gin ($29), but cost a few dollars more ($34).
This is wonderful for those who like citrusy-gins. The long finish is nice, if looking for a small amount that could last one a long time. I bit more alcohol on the finish in comparison to some other navy-strength gins out there. Still a solid buy from Magnus.
