Whiskey Del Bac Classic

Pretty tasty for only being aged 12-18 months

Nose is dusty and greasy for lack of a better word. The taste is nutty, cherry, dried apricot, and a big dose of lactofermented pickle savoriness. I could have sworn to God that this was finished in sherry casks. A bit funky/skunky.

The nose is smooth with barley, straw, leather, smoke and hints of ripe fruit. It's fairly gentle but very enjoyable. The palate is very easy going and tastes just like it smells. Barely is up front with a touch of honey and straw, as smoke and leather round it out over a wave of ripe fruit. The finish is medium with a bit of a chew as notes of barely and fruit linger in the mouth.
