WhistlePig 6 Year PiggyBack Rye

It actually reminds me of musty wood and dirt.

This was my first Rye. It was peppery and made some excellent drinks but I have since found others that I enjoy more.

Let sit for about 5 minutes. 👀: Dark rose amber in the bottle, but once poured it lightened to a blonde copper, surprisingly the tears don't really streak too much; 👃: Your typical minty rye notes, spearmint on the nose and baking spices on the back end, a little cherry Coke fizz in addition; 👅: ETHANOL BURN!!!, spicy with a little hint of pepper, but sweetness shines at the back end, surprisingly light; 🏁: At the end it does linger, I detect harshness at the back end, salt and baking soda. This is complex but might not be in the best way.
