Widow Jane 10 Year Straight Bourbon

Nose - syrup and citrus together, like oranges and French toast, some oak spices Palette - thin and fairly sweet, some faint citrus notes and a hint of butterscotch Finish - mild spice and sugar sweetness, a touch of bitterness at the end, mild burn

A nice bourbon. Had it at Pairings cigar bar in Media, so it wasn’t the kind of taste that allows for good description, but I’m gonna keep an eye out for it.

Here we go, Neat: Nose: wow, red licorice, cranberries, menthol, dill, Palate: a bit hot, oak, cherries, alcohol. With a bit of ice: Nose: Cherries and menthol hold, creme brûlée, vanilla Palate: smoother, oaky, burnt sugar, alcohol. Upon initial impression, I like this one the least of the three I bought. It’s quite good though, but not worth the cost ($89). But it’s really unique with the cherry, menthol, dill, creme brûlée nose and oak cherries and burnt sugar palate. Too much $$ though.

Sweet and vanilla on the nose at first and Floral is evident. Good Smokey taste at first sip with a slight touch of spice. Then a few seconds in the spice is gone and leaves the smokey goodness to linger till the end. Ice cube calms the spice and move the fullness of the flavor from the lips to the throat. The ice cube makes it nice and warm. This one has a nice ride from start to finish.
