Can taste the bit of maple but it’s less overpowering that I anticipated. It’s got a sweetness, but it’s not overbearing and strikes a good balance of vanilla and maple with tannic and just the right amount of heat. Good bottle.

Batch #3 Bottle #4255 Date - 2022 Nose: If an apple turnover and a pecan pie had a baby. The nose is very maple forward, but underneath lie notes of toasted pecan and apple with a hint of bread. Palate: Maple on the tongue, with notes of burnt sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon. A pleasantly sweet sip, but not overbearing. Finish: A warm comfortable finish, with lingering notes of shortbread and brown sugar. The finish gives you a little whiskey hug in your chest. Thoughts: Despite seeing mixed reviews on the bottle, I am very fond of it! It’s designed for a sweeter palate, but does an excellent job of balancing the sweetness while still being an easy sipper. Would definitely buy again!
