Finally had at Bdubs with Tyelor and Nathan (they were out of it several trips here before!) A little disappointed- pretty light, airy, and watery. A little hint of smoky, syrupy caramel with decent rye spice. 3.0
Smooth (I generally like Wild Turkey profile). This adds a little sweetness to what I consider a well balanced bourbon. There are not flavors that jump out to me, but at the same time it’s not bland.
The more I drink this, the more flavors I find. It’s really not gonna knock your socks off, but it’s a fun one to explore and plays all the bourbon hits at the same time for an affordable price for an “everyday” bourbon.
Nose of classic vanilla bean and caramel with a hint of leather
Palate of vanilla pudding pie with graham cracker crust
Finish of faint cinnamon dusted pie crust and sweet oak
A good neat pour with classic bourbon notes
