Wilderness Trail Bottled in Bond Single Barrel Bourbon (Wheated Bourbon)

Heavy and lacking smoothness and finesse. Needs water at the least but I’ve been burying it in cocktails. Wanted to like this but definitely did not. Could be a bad barrel.

Strong butterscotch on the nose. A bright and sweet cherry note, with a fairly mellow and short finish with honey sweetness.

Really digging this!! Love the sweetness. Very smooth and enjoyable. I like this one for an impressive crowd pleaser for the avid whiskey drinker. But it also has plenty of deep, rich complexities that can inspire a more refined palate.

Love this bourbon. Hints of banana!
