Worker’s No. 9 Vodka
Fremont Mischief // Washington, USA
Fremont Mischief believes in thinking about the “full circle” when it comes to distilling. They source grain from local responsible farmers. Then use the spent grain as organic compost for farms and gardens. The mash for Worker’s No. 9 vodka is soft winter wheat. A portion of the proceeds help support the Washington State Council of Firefighters.
Unflavored VodkaDistilled from any agricultural product, most commonly grains or potatoes. Typically distilled to 95% ABV. Water is added to bring the spirit down to as low as 37.5% ABV in the EU and 40% ABV in the US. It is usually filtered, often with charcoal, prior to bottling. It is almost always clear and unaged.
"This is not for chocolate cake lovers. The aroma is plain vanilla icing. The palate starts with stewed grains and more vanilla. The vanilla fades and turns to an oil and mineral finish. Save this for cocktails involving cream."
