Happy Friday, spirits fans!

Well, it’s beginning to look a lot like boozemas, but there are still some interesting late-year limited releases to share with you this week.

In Scotland, Diageo taps into its stocks with Orphan Barrel Muckety-Muck 25 Year from now-shuttered Port Dundas distillery. And Nicole Austin continues building momentum for Tennessee’s Cascade Hollow Distilling with Cascade Moon 13 Year Rye.

More details on these whiskeys and more, plus some tequila news below. Merry sipping!

Heaven’s Door Spirits Announces Release of The Bootleg Series Vol III

Heaven’s Door’s Bootleg series is a tribute to the famous rarities recordings by Bob Dylan, and is likewise a portfolio of rare whiskeys and special blends. The 2021 Bootleg Series expression is a cask-strength 13-year-old Kentucky Bourbon finished in Spanish Vino de Naranja Casks.

The Bootleg Series Vol III comes in a handmade ceramic bottle featuring Bob Dylan’s painting, Sunday Afternoon. Also, each bottle is individually numbered, with an accompanying leather journal.

“I really look forward to each year’s Bootleg release, as it’s our opportunity to introduce some of our rarest and most innovative whiskeys,” said Heaven’s Door Master Blender Ryan Perry. “The Bootleg Series Vol III allowed us to experiment with our first ever Kentucky bourbon release, one of which was aged for 13 years before our Vino de Naranja barrel finishing — pretty amazing! We’re really pleased with the final result, I just wish we had more bottles to offer all our loyal fans.”

Bottled at 60.6% ABV, Heaven’s Door Bootleg Series Vol III is limited to 3,949 bottles. It has an SRP of $545 and is available at ReserveBar.com and select retailers nationwide.
