The Heart Release is the first release in the second chapter of Maker's Mark Wood Finishing Series. While the first chapter of the series focused on the production process that impacts flavor, this second chapter focuses on the teams behind Maker's Mark. The Heart Release was inspired by the collective taste vision of the distilling team at Maker's Mark Distillery. The bourbon is fully matured in new, charred American oak and finished with custom, virgin French oak staves. Its availability begins in the US in July 2024. (SRP $74.99)

Shenk's Homestead Sour Mash is part of Michter's Legacy Series and named to honor John Shenk, the founder of the Pennsylvania distillery in 1753 which would eventually be called Michter's. This whiskey is made with (and named for) the sour mash process where a portion of the previously distilled whiskey mash (also called a setback or spent mash) is added to the next mash cook to ensure consistency of flavor among other benefits. For the 2024 release, the recipe includes rye, malted rye, and for the first time, caramel malt. Also, some barrels used in the maturation process include oak sourced from the Vosges region of France which was toasted to Michter's specifications. Available in limited quantities beginning July 2024. (SRP $110)
