Smooth, sweet, and just the right amount of oak. But is it worth the secondary market price? Absolutely not. Buy a bottle of $24 OWAs and have an experience that is close enough for 90% of the bourbon drinking community. Or better yet, find a Weller 12 and if its your second pour of the night, you'll swear its the same thing.

Angel's Envy Bourbon Finished in Port Wine Barrels
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed February 26, 2017A nice go-to bourbon that feels a step above the standard and has a gorgeous bottle to look good on your shelf. The port finish makes this way more sophisticated than the liquid put in the barrel. But if you have the cash and the luck to find it, the Cask Strength version of it is where to focus your attention. -
Kings County Bourbon (Discontinued)
Bourbon — New York, USA
Reviewed February 26, 2017 (edited December 17, 2019)It's like that time when you see a college student hitting on an older woman at a wedding reception. He is well intentioned and has all the makings of a good choice but is just missing about 4-6 years. -
Stagg Jr Barrel Proof Bourbon Batch 1
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed February 22, 2017 (edited March 31, 2017)Love the consistent burn from nose to finish. Brown sugar and tobacco on the taste. When I have backups I'll drink this over and other Cask Strength or Barrel Strength bourbons every day of the week. -
Henry McKenna 10 Year Bottled in Bond Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed February 22, 2017 (edited September 13, 2017)For the price this is hands down the worst best kept secret of the bourbon world. Every time I go to the store I try to pick up an extra bottle in fear that this is one of the next age stated bourbons to disappear. Perhaps a Big Red EC12 in the making? -
Clyde May's 8 Year Cask Strength Alabama-Style Whiskey
Flavored Whiskey — USA
Reviewed February 20, 2017 (edited July 4, 2018)Rips your face off on the nose with hints of apricot and peach. Added a drop of limestone water and instantly got an apple taste on the mouth. Consistent burn on the finish.
