Tastes

Aroma is mildly sweet with hints of floral and barely ripe banana. Smooth, almost oily mouth-feel. Goes very well with cola. Rating based on neat sipping.

Aroma is 100% fresh & naturally sweet coconut meat! Really nice. Wow, tastes like fresh coconut as well! If you're looking for a premium coconut rum for cocktails then this is it. Not overly sweet, tastes like fresh coconut milk but not overpowering, and not high-proofed to be let down by alcohol burn. I really like the Selva Rey Coconut, but this is a touch better. Nuff said, this is it. Rating based on neat sipping.

Aroma is a semi-sweet acetone. Ew. This is very cinnamon forward flavor. I'm not crazy about this as a sipper, but it does a good job as a mixer, particularly if you're looking for a little kick in your drink. Rating based on neat sipping.

Self note: FOR MIXING ONLY! Aromas of banana, tropical fruit mix, and hogo. Not bad. Flavors are faint artificial banana, and sweet, burning, hard cinnamon candy with a very dry finish on my tongue. Some anise through the retro-hale. Bleh! This is not a sipper. It's meant for mixing, in my opinion. Rating *NOT* based on neat sipping but as a mixer, where it works very well!

This is supposed to be "Transcontinental Rum Line Jamaica HD 2012" but this application doesn't have the *basic* functionality to edit or delete custom entries! Too strong as a sipper, definitely needs to be used as a mixer for me. Even then, I'm not a fan. Faint aroma of molasses. I taste spicy orange peel. Rating based on neat sipping.

Aroma reminds me of a dirt trail through a lush tropical grove that leads to a small bay in NW Maui: humid with fruits on the tree and on the ground, in various stages of decomposition, filling the air with sweet, rotting fruits and flowers. Not your typical rum taste. More floral. Strong cinnamon finish that leaves the tongue with a buzzing feeling. Rating based on neat sipping.

Aroma of crisp and fresh green apple without the sour and a sneaky bit of floral. Funky and odd with butterscotch, fruits, petrol, and cinnamon flavors. Long, thin, almost oily legs. After a few minutes and several sips later, I'm getting some initial sugar water taste and nondescript fruit melody mixed with funkiness. Retro-hale has a "rubbing alcohol made from pineapple" aroma to it. Gives a cola an interesting but still good flavor. Rating based on neat sipping.
