Corsair Triple Smoke American Single Malt
American Single Malt — Tennessee, USA
Reviewed June 10, 2016Loved the idea, but felt like it didn't quite pull it off. That said, would have it again. -
A delicious dram. Not as peaty as a typical Islay, but iodine was forward on this nose. Salt and pepper on the palate, moee burn on the finish than I expected, but still pleasant. Compared to Talisker Storm, this is less aggressive (and certainly less briny, though that is still present here), though perhaps with a more burning finish

Auchentoshan Three Wood
Single Malt — Lowlands, Scotland
Reviewed February 4, 2016 (edited April 24, 2018)Mouthfeel reminded me of Bunnahabain, a little thick. Was the mildest mukti-cask I have had, both on the nose and on the palate. Not a lot of lingering flavors. Overall very pleasant. -
Heaven Hill White Label Bottled In Bond 6 Year
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed January 27, 2016 (edited March 18, 2017)On the nose you will be reminded of a rickhouse: if you've ever toured one this will take you right back there. The palate and finish is not terribly complex but still satisfying, especially when considering the price point. Any "everyday bourbon" or "table bourbon" should be weighed against this, and will probably not fare well.
