Probs crap if it’s not XO level. This one reminds me of my early days attempt into BOURBON, which I found smooth and subtle beyond expectation. For a moment I thought I was taken in grape juice, then I thought okay panna cotta there is, and flan. It is not bad for its simplicity and smoothness. But not as layered or complicated as scotch I used to sip for fun. More straight to your face than a grand voyage to find your prefrence. Def not intense enough to bring out your sensual experience.

Marzipan, liquorice at tatse. Subtle and nuance at nose with majority of oaky flovor. Its like a twist from your generic sherry/ollosso with a bit of sazerac mixology. If not noted at the description in marzipan and liquirice, dark fruit, prunes, figs, I woulnt have appreciated the complexity since these are not to ny default tasting profile—I ate outdated crackers as a kiddo and liquorice marzipan tatsed exactly like that, almost chalky.

Probs best scotch had 2023. Along with Rich Cacao from Macallun, this one is winning the top notch scotch Ive ever had. Beautiful, gentle, marzipan, warm breeze at nose, kicked in with a bit of a smoke into mouth, peated for a second, showed the pizazz then gone. No bullshit spice or anything other than and after. Beautiful one I try to chase after but climax ends at the moment of its peak then gone. To the whole night Ive been looking for though. Very clear, very striaghforward comparing to Springbank 12 years. Loved this babe way more. Loved Rich Cacao for the layers, this one the rhythm. Nothing too much at the end is my new type now.

Springbank 12 Year Cask Strength (Batch 17)
Single Malt — Campbeltown, Scotland
Reviewed October 25, 2023Nose: peaty, smoke show by the beach, when diluted, it became more floral, softer, red berries Flavor: peaty, spicy, anise. Caramel breath Good balance between peaty and sherry. Very layered. Not great for me whos still novice to scotch, but can def feel the complex character. -
Jumpy bomb peaty flavor. Was recommeded to me as an islay starter, peaty starter, by a very handsome looking man thats totally my type, so 5/5 When diluted, one drop, milder and very pretty, subtly seeet towards the end. Basically to ardbeg ugandail. Less, peaty, more floral. Loved the bomb and jumpy too. Hits like a rhythm.
