First open No water Nose - strong hints of grain and green apple, slight sugar note, light fruit like pears and grapes Taste - tastes deeper than the nose presents, caramel and raisins, short burst of flavor followed by a dry finish, hint of buttery sweetness Overall - pretty decent, some of the flavor notes align with people’s comparison to Bruichladdich

Already open No water Nose - hints of peat, brine, dark fruits Taste - strong fruit that pulls the fruit with it, spiky, peppery, Overall - the best of the 12’s, the sherry makes a nice complement to the smoke

Already open No water Nose - peaty but not overwhelming, grain dust, apples Taste - punches with peat, with grain undertones. Overall - not bad, 12.1 is better

First open No water Nose - strong peat, sea brine, grain, green apple, hint of leather Taste - strong smoke, thick (but not as oily as other Octomores), hints of dark fruit Overall - very good

First open No water Nose - apples, baking spice, Taste - decent texture, grain forward Overall - not that great

Bar/been open No water Nose - slight peat, strong grain, pear Taste - background smoke, a little oily, a little one note Overall - decent scotch, nothing special

First opened No water Nose - charred sea breeze, caramel, green apple, grain, dark fruits Taste - smokey, light body, sugar syrup Overall - good peat flavor, but feels a little thin, decent scotch

First opened No water Nose - strong baking spice, hint of vanilla, hint of butterscotch Taste - cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, strong punch of flavor Overall - highly deceptive, all of the high proof flavor, none of the burn. Well worth the praise.

Already opened No water Nose - aggressive peat, brine, smoked meat, surprisingly sweet green apple Taste - good mouth-feel, oily and viscous but not thick, brine, peat smoke, slight hints of honey trying to fight through the dominant flavors Overall - a good whisky, lives up to its name, but dare I say, maybe a little too peat heavy.

Already opened No water Nose - honey, green apple, baking spice Taste - caramel, sugar, honey, a slight spice in the finish Overall - a decent whiskey, comes across a little unrefined
