Really good peated Scotch for the money. Of course it's not the same quality as a 12 year but it's not gonna break the bank!

Caramel, brown sugar, salty, a hint of smoky peat. Cinnamon and nutmeg on the finish and a hint of alcohol burn

Still one of my favorite mid shelf bourbons. On par with the quality of Makers but with more of a spicy ness to it. Barrel char, leather, burnt brown sugar and a hint of vanilla. No cloying sweetness like many bottom shelf bourbons have. Would be a great cocktail mixer for old fashions

Classic Highland Dark fruit / prune notes followed by a caramel pastry with a hint of peat smoke

Tastes young, and grainy. Not a lot of malt flavor coming through. Bitter diner coffee with cream, but emphasis on the bitter not the cream. It's alright. Would rather get Bushmills or Jameson blends at this price.

Taste of smoked brisket, brine and tobacco. Less oily than it's 16 year counterpart, definitely feels younger. Much stronger barrel notes than the 8 but not as strong as the 16. I wish this wasn't $5 more than the 16 but it is limited edition after all

Great balance of common Scotch flavors, vanilla, smoke, caramel toffee, apple. A good go to 12 year single malt
