Bunnahabhain Stiùireadair
Single Malt — Islay, Scotland
Reviewed September 30, 2020 (edited December 16, 2020)Nose: Sherry, raisins, vanilla, chocolate, orange peel, pepper Palate: salt, spice, white pepper, dark chocolate Finish: pepper followed by lingering malt on the roof of the mouth. Low peat for an islay, its a nice evening glass but didn't really stand out for me. -
Nose: rich honey, rubber comes later. Palate: very delicate, no alcohol burn. You can taste the extra grass in the Orkney style peat. Green pepper at the back of the throat at the end. Finish: spicy tingle like white pepper initially. Aftertaste is malty and a little briney. I would have preferred it a little less watered down, but enjoyed it.
