Tasted at Delilah’s bar in Chicago! Amazing place and amazing whisky! Liked it a lot so talked to the owner of the place (Mike), great guy, and he said I could find a bottle at the local Binny’s if I told the manager that Mike told me to ask for him. Went to Binny’s the next day and no CB Delilah’s XXV at sight... So called the manager and told him that Mike sent me there and a bottle just appeared from thin air... Ha! ;-) It was a month ago but I remember this whisky being quite sherried, delicious and incredible smooth... So silky smooth that it quite missed the little extra punch that could make me give it 5 stars. (Maybe because there is no European oak in this blend)100.0 USD per Bottle

Glenmorangie The Original 10 Year
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed October 9, 2018 (edited October 10, 2018)Tasted at a Glenmorangie vertical tasting. Ranked last (n°7) from all the whiskies at the night. Just “meh” as I remember from my long gone bottle... Not a bad dram but just mediocre. Citrus, vanilla and honey. -
Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban 12 Year
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed October 9, 2018 (edited August 20, 2019)So... I love port wine and port wine finished whiskies... Not this one! :( Tasted at a Glenmorangie vertical tasting and for my surprise ranked n°6. The alcohol was too strong both on the nose and the palate. Not sign of the red/dark berries notes I was expecting on the nose... Got a lot better with some drops of water but still, quite not there! -
Glenmorangie Lasanta Sherry Cask Finish 12 Year
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed October 9, 2018 (edited June 13, 2019)Tasted at a Glenmorangie vertical tasting. Had already tried the old version and rated it 3 stars. This new version is the 10 original aged in Oloroso Sherry Casks as the older one but also in PX Casks. I don’t know what kind of magic the PX did but this is clearly far superior than it was before. Now a 4 stars, and recommend that if you tried the old one and thought it was just regular, try this one and find out how better it is now. -
Glenmorangie Duthac
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed October 9, 2018 (edited October 10, 2018)Last whisky from a Glenmorangie tasting and my third favourite! Was already too drunk for more precise tasting notes but really lovely stuff. Have to try it again when I’m sober... \o/ -
Glenmorangie Nectar D'or 12 Year
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed October 9, 2018 (edited June 13, 2019)My second favourite whisky from a Glenmorangie tasting. I really liked all Sauternes finishes I tasted so far so it comes as no surprise. Strong sweet, tropical fruits and nutty notes but comes along with a zing that keeps it from being too cloying. Really good stuff! Underrated! -
Glenmorangie Signet
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed October 9, 2018 (edited August 19, 2019)Just did a vertical tasting of Glenmorangie and this one , as I thought, came as the stand out of the night. Really can taste the dark chocolate aroma and taste from the roasted barley!! Amazing!!! Also strong notes of coffee and some orange peel citrus. Glad I loved this one as I have a closed bottle stashed away! -
Booker's Bourbon Batch 2015-03 "The Center Cut"
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed September 26, 2018 (edited December 31, 2019)Decided to try some bourbons the last days: Eagle Rare 10 years - good but too sweet for my taste 3.4 rounded down to 3 stars. Four Rouses Single Barrel - fits better my taste but quite not there - 3.5 stars rounded down to 3 stars Wellers Antique - Good surprise - it has the sweetness expected from a wheated bourbon but with a spicy kick that gives it balance. 3.7 stars rounded up to 4 stars. I didn't make any taste notes on them because for me (a scotch guy), bourbons quite taste the same... Until now! This one is for sure my first WOW bourbon experience! As the expert reviews says it has some smoky meat notes on the nose that translate into some charred herbal notes on the palate. Outstanding! A solid 4.5 stars for me but have to round it down to 4 stars as it isn't on the same league of my 5 stars rated scotches.10.0 USD per Pour
