Tastes

Obvious aromas of vanilla, wood shavings and butterscotch pudding. The taste is light and mellow, with smooth maplewood and spicy rye grain flavours. A very simple, sweetish whiskey.

Some whiskeys have heat. Some burn. This one doesn't even flicker, nevermind spark or flame. Honeyed cereal grain and caramel topped apple-cinnamon loaf define this blended offering. No hint of peat or smoke. I expect more character at this price but it's damn smooth, I'll give it that.

Strong sherried notes of golden raisin, plum turning to prune, some vanilla cream and a dash of spice. A very sweet, lightly caramelly and easy going scotch. Real entry level and approachable.

Intense! Rich with sherried character. Smells of baked grapes, ginger spice, and tons of orange zest. More smoky brine, banana and vanilla on palate but still predominantly dried fruit and citrus peel. Strong but equally soothing.

Smells strongly of toasted dark rye bread and caraway seeds, while sweeter notes of maple fudge and caramel taffy arise on the palate. Pumpkin pie spicing and sawdust on the finish. Real strong rye presence but still super quaffable.

Blends creme brûlée and candy apple, with ginger and all spice accents. Cappuccino flavour with floral and citrus notes. Toffee maple fudge taste lingers. A top-notch bourbon bar none.

Tantalizing smells of maple syrup, vanilla bean and roasted pecan. Crystallized sugar and a splash of orangey citrus. Candy apple and cinnamon. Sweet, spicy, smooth - excellent value.

Honeyed cereal grain and spiced banana loaf lead the way with mellow vanilla and roasted nut complementing. Easy and approachable.

Honey and pistachio pastry in the aroma. Fruit cup and apricots, pineapple in syrup flavour chased by a dash of spice. A nice quaff but not as impressive or interesting as the concept sounds.

Meek pear and golden raisin aromas; gentle hint of sherry. Almost vanilla taste with figs and very subtle vegetal peatiness on the finish. Approachable but painfully plain.
