Tastes

Hard to explain what I'm tasting. Neat, it's actually okay, not harsh but a taste I can't identify; not good or bad, but distinct to JD. On ice, not going to lie, since it's not harsh, I enjoy it on ice over most Bourbon's (I like Bourbon as an Old Fashioned).

Sweet and spicy. Hotness that lingers, but in a good way. Excellent. Not one who usually drinks Bourbon out of an Old Fashioned, but I'd drink this on the rocks in a heart beat. Don't love it enough for neat.

Caramel, sweet, spice. I typically drink Burbon as Old Fashion's. This is my go-to for that. Excellent for the price, and sweet (which I prefer). Neat it's okay (I prefer Scotch neat) a little too complex for me neat (all Bourbon's are for me). On the rocks, it's pretty damn good. Could easily be an every day drinker this way, although I prefer Irish or Japanese for my on the rocks drinker. Highly recommended. This is my 3rd bottle, it will always be on hand.

Cherry, vanilla. A bit harsh. Rocks/water opens it up to be more drinkable. Still just okay. I prefer my bourbon sweater (usually drink it as an Old Fashioned).

Vanilla, very harsh. Tried neat in glencairn and on the rocks. I'd stick to an Old Fashioned with this one (my typical way to drink Bourbon). Don't think I'd buy again.

Loved it. Tasted it neat at a bar, will pick up a bottle of this. Only negative is that the finsh is pretty short.
