Tastes

Tingles the tongue and lips but doesn't burn the lungs. It's sweet but not overly. Hints of apples. I'd still call it mild. Very tasty.

Lovely vanilla. Only a slight burn for it being 100 proof and the burn gets muted pretty quickly.

My palate is somewhat wrecked so I need another taste. But I like what I'm tasting! Mild and smooth. There's a subtle buttery candy/carmel taste to it that's quite nice.

Solid. My palate isn't exactly clean but it's good! Not knock-your-socks-off. Not remarkable or noteworthy. But good and priced well enough. I'll try it again another day.

Beautiful nose - very unique. Not my words but they fit - "the taste blooms". Mild. Very smooth. "Clean and bright". Floral. Just try it. You won't be disappointed.

Very nice! Warm but not hot/burny. There is a wine/fruit/grape nose but not overpowering. Just smooth as hell and easy to sip.

Having read the bottle, I know I'm tasting the licorice but if I hadn't read the bottle, I'd probably be wondering, "what am I tasting?" The port comes through but I think the licorice beats it by a hair. It's smooth, and "clean" (can't pick the right word). I'd drink it again for sure.

Smells hotter than it is. It's quite smooth. I got zero smoke, zero apples, cherry or any of the other things I've read. Could be that my palate is wrecked but it's just a smooth sipper and one of the more enjoyable whistlepigs I've had.

A little burny. Heavy vanilla notes (really pleasant). Smooth with a calm finish.
