Tastes

This bourbon came in strong with a BIG nose and solid mouthfeel. Just was dissapointed on the medium finish. Too short for me. I prefer the 135th to this one. Nose - Autumn in a glass imo, clove, cinnamon, all spice, and vanilla. Amazing nose give it a 5 out of five alone. This is definitely the star of the show. Palate - Thick and viscious, coats the tongue, the flavors on the nose were not neccesarily on the palate for me which was kind of a bummer since the nose is so big. Got a little cinnamon and oak. Honey as well. Finish - This is where everything got thrown off for me. Although it is thick on the tongue, and has some mouthfeel. The finish was just medium for me. Just too short. That really made a 5 out of 5 pour fall to a 4.

I would say this is pretty perfect. Balanced and might even prefer this to the 2021 release as it is a bit tamed down for me. Not so in your face. Only flaw to me i could pick out is to maybe have the palate not be so one dimensional from a flavors side but that might be a stretch as this is great. Nose: Incredibly rich, big cherries, maybe a grape note. Palate: sweet, viscous, a little heat but not too much. Has some peanuts to it for sure but again just so balanced. Finish: medium to long just keeps going and going.

Great pour! Huge cherry bomb nose and followed up with tobacco on the back end. Palate followed the nose with a cherry bomb and tobacco follow up. The palate is predominantly cherry but the backend is a subtle tobacco drop. Think of a fresh opened cigar box with a piece of cedar that is in the cigar. That is the best way I could describe it. The finish goes forever. Not super complex like years past but holds its own. Great pour.

I thought this was decent and was immediately blown away by the nose and color. However, after that it was a bit of a one trick poney. Very thick and awesome mouth feel. Flavors for me were just oak and dark fruit. Nothing really blew me out of the water. Compared it to batch one of rr13 and i much preferred the rr13. Definitely will taste the 15 again when it has had some time to open up. The 13 was just more complex and took me on a ride.

Very fruit forward, raspberries, oak, and medium finish.
