Tastes

I’m a huge fan of Basil Hayden, so i had to give this one a try! Nose: Hazelnut, Caramel, Palate: Oaky, Toffee, Candied Apple Finish: Cinnamon, Citrus, Overall: its quite enjoyable!! I dont enjoy it as mich as the red wine cask Basil Hayden, but its one i would consider picking up if on sale!

On the nose: Golden Delicious Apple, Butter, Hint of citrus On the palate: Spicy Cinnamon, hints of strawberry The finish: Warm Brown Sugar, Grape Overall: not bad, but not my favorite. I’m not a particularly huge fan of spicy whiskys.

It isn’t anything premium, but for the price, its not bad at all!

On the nose: I get dark cherry notes with hints of Baker’s Chocolate and hint of cinnamon On the palate: I get sweet corn flavors and perhaps a subtle hint of dark chocolate The finish: Pretty smooth! I get hints of sweet corn and an ever so slight taste of almond. Overall: a solid bourbon that I’ll likely be returning to in the future. Good for mixing and on its own

On the nose: hints of citrus blend with notes of brown sugar and honey On the palate: Good golly, it tastes like red wine! It’s very unique because of the taste of a Cabernet but the texture of a whiskey. I will say, maybe at times it tastes a little TOO much like red wine, but it is quite delicious The finish: Dark cherries and hints of citrus Overall: it’s pretty smooth, and as a red wine taster, I enjoy this one a lot!
