Y’know, it’s not as bad as I once remembered. Really it’s just a nice whiskey without a lot going on. Simple one note and not much to follow. A little sweet maybe. I’ll hit this bottle rarely.

I’m not a big bourbon guy, I prefer scotch, but I really enjoy this bourbon. It’s slick and sweet, yummy and fun on a Tuesday after dinner. PS after having a bit more of this deliciousness, I have upped my rating to 4.0 stars. Yum.

Yeah the weak reviews here are unfortunately accurate. Not really peat and just not really enjoyable. Had this at my monthly scotch tasting.

This is a better bourbon. Very smooth, almost syrupy and sweet with vanilla and caramel. I enjoyed this with my wife and son on a quiet stay-at-home Saturday night.

Heavenly. A tiny bit sweet, this stuff is delicious. Worthy of a special occasion, great for a regular Saturday night too. This really has an advantage over other Islays I’ve had and enjoyed. This one is a repeater.

You know what? This is yummy and rich but I can see how you could get tired of it quickly. I called it the “Thanksgiving Whiskey” because I caught notes of cinnamon and sweet potato.
