Willett Pot Still Reserve Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed March 19, 2023 (edited March 29, 2023)Nose: Floral with Wood and Citrus Palate: Wood and Vanilla with a thin mouthfeel. Finish: Dry Mouth! Short finish that isn’t overly exciting. Thoughts: Tried in the 50ml bottles, would not buy the whole thing. -
Nose: Apple and Vanilla - Hints of Citrus. Very unique nose. Palate: Flash of heat before giving way to green apple and okay. Minimal oil and buttery mouthfeel like the regular Pipe Dream. Finish: Orange, cinnamon spice. Thoughts: Pretty good! Unique, but wouldnt pay secondary for it.20.0 USD per PourMagnum's Cigars Wine & Liquor

Nose: Malt forward on the nose. Pie Crust and Fruit. Palate: Cherry, Caramel, and Vanilla. Medium mouthfeel. Finish: Surge of baking spices accompanied by some heat, fades to light maple sugar candy with a touch of vanilla. Thoughts: Not bad at all. The surge of heat on the finish isn’t quite for me, but still good!16.0 USD per PourCOLT Grill, BBQ & Spirits

Nose: Stone fruit with a hint of mesquite. Overall musty on the nose. Not very enjoyable for me at all. Palate: light caramel and vanilla, malt. Finish: malt forward. Not a fan. Some oak and mesquire in there, but not much. Thoughts: Not a huge fan. Not terrible, but not for me.16.0 USD per PourCOLT Grill, BBQ & Spirits

Nose: Cinnamon Pound Cake, Vanilla, and Butter Palate: Vanilla, Caramel, and Cinnamon. Very sweet with a rich mouth feel. Finish: Heat ramps up on the finish. A nice heat which brings forward cinnamon spice. Thoughts: Very good at MSRP. Not sure I’d pay the ~$200 secondary market price though.30.0 USD per PourMagnum's Cigars Wine & Liquor

Wilderness Trail Family Reserve Single Barrel Cask Strength Bourbon (High Rye Bourbon)
Bourbon — Kentucky , USA
Reviewed February 23, 2023 (edited July 15, 2024)Pick: Star Liqour - 701 E Mohave St, Phoenix, AZ 85034 Age: 5 years & 2 months Barrel: ISC Barrel No: 753152 Rickhouse: B-E15-M10 Yeast Strain: 921 Proof: 106.18 Nose: Very “clean” on the nose. Almost rememiscent of a Pine-Sol without the chemicals. The nose is just bery pleasant. Earthy Rye with a balance of brown sugar and fruit. Very pleasant. Palate: Rye Spice immediately. Although your classic rye palate, it is much more mellow and almost sweet. Notes of cracked black pepper and burnt brown sugar pair nicely to balance each other out. Finish: A pleasant blend of rye spice and bread before giving way to charred oak. The finish is one of the weaker points of the sip, but still pleasant. Thoughts: One of my first Wilderness Trail experiences, and my first bottle to own. Have no regrets on the store pick, and will definitely look for this again in the future.64.99 USD per BottleStar Liquor
