Tastes

Nose: Although light, the nose is very pleasant. Baking spices with butter, light brown sugar, and a touch of cinnamon. Palate: Butterscotch, Bread, and a slight nuttiness (Almond - Maybe?). Simple, but pleasant. Finish: Heat ramps up upon swallowing, followed by notes of cinnamon and leather. A nice contrast from the relatively sweet nose and palate. Thoughts: Not something I’d turn my nose up at, but I find its simplicity keeps me from grabbing it off the shelf more than others.

Nose: Sweet Banana Bread, Honey, and Light Baking Spice. Palate: Light Fruit (Pear? Banana? Not a berry), Honey, and Light Oak. Although appearing thin, it yeilds a medium mouthfeel. Finish: Honey and Familair Banana Bread Notes from the Nose. Suprisingly Little Warmth. Thoughts: At ~$20 for a 1L bottle, I was pleasantly surprised. Will buy again.

Nose: Very sweet nose. Nothing intimidating. Notes of bread, soft cinnamon, brown sugar, and vanilla. Reminiscent of a coffee cake or pie crust. Very enjoyable but not overbearing. Palate: Caramel and toasted Graham cracker. The palate is just as sweet as the nose, but not artificially so. Very rich but still subtle enough for me. Finish: Maple and brown sugar, with a hint of cinnamon burn. The finish is medium-long with a nice hugging warmth in your chest. No burn, just wrapped up in a nice cozy blanket of sweet pie-like flavors. Thoughts: At $105/bottle, it can be a bit pricey. Much easier to find that things like Antique 107, and just as delicious. Would definitely buy again.

Nose: Pledge Furniture Polish. No other way around it. Finish: Much like the nose. Starts very citrus and orange forward. Transfers to musty oak that I’m not a fan of. If Pine-Sol became Oak-Sol. Would not buy again. Not bad. Just not for me.

Nose: Vanilla, baking spice, grain, and a touch of ethanol. Palate: Corn oil helps to coat the palate with rye spice, oak, and light vanilla. Finish: Flash of rye spice with vanilla. Overall a long heated finish, but nothing excessive. Thoughts: Definitely an every day sipper. At $20~ a bottle, you can’t beat it!

Not much to go on. Very thin. Wouldn’t drink neat, but it wouldn’t be a bad mixer.
