Tastes

Right on the cusp of being intentionally peaty. Not my favorite, but not terrible. Probably wouldn't buy, though. Folks that like peat, but don't want the in your face peat of a Peat Monster might find a home with this.

Fairly basic flavor, but inoffensive. Good for the price point. Low to no peat flavor. A little burn and short after taste.

Really big punch that is strangely enjoyable. What follows is a like a brandy topping on bread pudding or a Cremebrule taste with a distinct whiskey finish. Great apartif.

Very smooth and velvety, but too many additives make it a bit of a disappointment. Creamy texture doesn't hide a lazy addition of sherry and coloring. You could do much better at this price point. Their 15 year is more pure and well worth the $20 premium.

Awful smell that resembles rubbing alcohol. Decent taste, though, that fortunately doesn't have the characteristics of the smell. A lot of spice, though, which I like, just not sold on full wheated whiskies, yet.

Very fruity with a hint of spice. Smooth with just enough burn to be interesting. Dark color that leaves a slight coating on the glass. Be ready for the fruit.

Well made, but I'm not a peat fan, so my ranking is more for my tastes. Smooth with no burn. Peat hangs around, but not too long. A subtle honey taste accompanies it.

America!!!! Nice hit of spice, good early burn, great flavor at its price point. I've had better. At under $30, though? Not often.

The Sherry is immediately noticeable, but surprisingly welcome compared to other sherry aged offerings. Good bite without water that disappears quickly with just one drop of h2o. Fruity finish makes it kind of fun, for something that isn't a challenge to drink. Definitely on the high side of three stars.
