    Faintly peated compared to the distillery's younger counterparts, but by no means a mellow dram. It boasts a full body, robust wood notes (cigar box) and combination of dried and fresh tropical fruit. Nicely balanced overall with an exceptionally long finish.

    Faint notes of toffee and honey on the nose, with dried fruit, dark cherries, and a drop of citrus on the palate. The flavours come together quite gracefully into a smooth yet regretfully short finish. A bit "dull-more" for me.

    Light and simple vanilla, oak and honey notes that are basic to ex-bourbon cask ageing. Nothing more. Featherweight all around, including its cost when compared to other 10-year single malts ($40-45). Breakfast-appropriate, I suppose.

    Fruity nose, with pears, fresh oak, and vanilla coming through. Mouthwatering peach Schnapps taste on the palate with a touch of spice on the finish. Complex, but not overwhelming.

    Dried-fruit medley of raisins, plums, apricot and fresh tobacco that is reminiscent of an XO cognac. A balanced, refined and delicious sherried whisky with an Energizer bunny finish.

    Sweet dried fruit and vanilla makes for a chewy mouthful, followed by a light prickly spice on the finish. Overall, the PX influence really stands out here... maybe a bit too much for my likeing.

    To me, this always tastes like soda with a splash of peated whisky. It blends nicely within a crowd without going too unnoticed. Maybe rough around the edges, but serviceable nonetheless.

    Lemongrass and fresh oak on the nose. Lightly salted and fairly oily mouthful. Unfortunately, there is something of a prickly sawdust taste on the finish that kind of spoils the party for me.
