Cutty Sark Prohibition Edition
Blended — Scotland
Reviewed January 2, 2019 (edited February 14, 2019)Butterscotch and vanilla nice and oily only a slight burn but I am used to cask strength :) smells sweet and delicious tastes way above the 40 cad tax in I bought it for! Probably best bang for your buck out there! 3.25 but on price point probably 4/5 value wise this and gibson 12 is my 30$ sippers30.0 CAD per Bottle -
First whiskey over $100 cad I did not like :( month later I had Lot.40 Cask Strength 11 Year and it is much more harmonious but some liquorice flavours that reminded me of this but how it actually worked. Story and look 1/1 love the Canadian experiment and the presentation is first class!! Nose:1/1 smells great corn caramel Taste: .5/2 flavours are not harmonious burn and mouth feel is awful and I drink cask strength often and worst is adding water gives it a rancid liquorice flavour :( Finish and burn: 0/1 again just an old corn tops burn yuk ! Overall: Emailed twice to find out if I had a bad bottle as some reviews are really good but NO Customer Service what so ever AVOID especially if you dont like black liquorice and musty corn.120.0 CAD per Bottle

slight peat sweet oak very slight fruit and chocolate if any bit of a bite but smooth finish a quality 12 year old scotch but tough competition in this 12 year old age statement and one of the highest priced namely vs the 3 12 year old glenmorangies to start with. Would happliy drink but probably not purchase perfect mooching whiskey :)95.0 CAD per Bottle

Lot No. 40 11 Year Cask Strength
Canadian — Ontario, Canada
Reviewed January 2, 2019 (edited January 26, 2019)Look & Story: 1/1 love the foil on the glass bottle even my wife noticed why does this one look so exciting! Especially love being able to taste cask strength canadian whiskey. Nose: 1/1 big rye spice, sweet caramel and or burnt sugar hint of dill alot of depth Taste: 1.5/2 big punch in the face rye and liquorice flavour luckily the liquorice flavour goes fast and gives way to fruit and caramel I rated noe simple task which is another Canadian Esqu cask strength really low because the bourbon blend was very harsh this is alot smoother and harmonius I am not a huge black licorice anise fan and that Noe simple task just gets more and more black liquorice no matter what you do :( The other flavours of caramel and burnt sugar oak and tastes amazing and lingers forever with a great finish ! It even gets more floral and sweet with water which unlike with noe simple task seems to just get worse with water overall two very interesting whiskeys to directly compare to eachother! Finish & Burn .75/1 not as smooth as abundah or other cask strength scotches I have had but still drinkable dilluting it does improve the flavour imho. overall really interesting unique whiskey worth trying, I am glad I bought it wallet hurts at $115 cad tax in (close to abundah price one of the few cask strength whiskeys you can buy in BC) and could be tough to buy again but at limited edition I won't be able to anyways lol so just enjoy it while it lasts.100.0 CAD per Bottle -
Canadian Rockies 21 Year
Canadian — British Columbia, Canada
Reviewed December 18, 2018 (edited January 22, 2020)Bought this after the rum howler write up where he rates it as ambrosia of the God’s :) And it is pretty damn good ! Look & Story 1/ 1 love the 21 year and the made for Taiwan before coming here story! Bottle is a little lacklustre though not really any different than the basic centennial Nose: 1 / 1 caramel maple vanilla delicious Taste: 1.75 / 2 excellent mouth feel caramel hit not really getting that Canadian spicey note this is subtle lots of subtle flavours hard to peg like the challenge oaky sweet! And caramels more sweet spice would have got it perfect for my palate Finish and burn: .75 / 1 This does have a burn in the aftertaste I like it but know it would turn others off sweetness lingers and subtle sweet corn ends Total: 4.25 I liked 35 yr wisers better as it is more complex as it should be but at $75 ish I can get like 3 bottle of this tough call :) Answer is get both and save the Wosers 35 only for people who think this is a 4+ this is a litmus test for excellent Canadian whiskey and it is at a reasonable price !80.0 CAD per BottleLucky's Liquor Store -
Easy 3.5 all day Our cousin Jeff introduced us to it as his pick for best sipping whiskey and I have to admit it is by far the most tastey smooth and complex whiskey I have experienced for $25 Cad so like 5 dollars USD ??! LOL fruit, slight oak, spicey, sweet burnt sugar and smooth would love to put this in with all the worlds whiskeys $25 and under and see if it would win the number 1 spot25.0 CAD per Bottle

Dad just bought a Quinta Ruban from glenmorangie so we did a blind tasting we liked Quinta Ruban port barrel better by a bit finish is a little better it was smoother and a hint of peaty goodness, but this was fresh sweet and balanced maybe a few more years in a barrel would put it ahead a point! Excellent experiment !
