Glenmorangie A Tale of Winter
Single Malt — Highlands, ScotlandReviewed May 10, 2022Really enjoying this whiskey! Will buy another bottle if available which is a great rating in my book. I love that it has an age statements which a lot of these kind of releases do not have, it’s 46% not just 49 for flavour and it’s profile is right in my wheel house chocolate, orchard fruit, a little Christmas spice yummy!!
Canadian Club 40 Year
Canadian — Ontario, CanadaReviewed March 26, 2022Floral, dill pickle and rye spices but long honey vanilla oak finish tastes a little young for 40 year definitely using 9% of young rye but makes for a unique blend.
Roe & Co Blended Irish Whiskey
Blended — IrelandReviewed March 26, 2022 (edited June 26, 2022)Floral sweet honey 🍯 and smooth for the abv and age had at the Irish heather with a Guinness for 12$ cad such a good deal !
Macallan 12 Year Sherry Oak Cask
Single Malt — Highlands, ScotlandReviewed January 25, 2022 (edited February 5, 2022)Excellent smooth sherry bomb not as Ashy and musty as a glenfarclas a lot smoother than most sherry cask whiskey. But richer than a lansanta glenmorangie. Is it worth the double the price of a glenfarclas and such maybe 🤔 but definitely makes a great gift and way to celebrate a special occasion
Kirkland 12 Year Blended Scotch
Peated Blend — ScotlandReviewed December 23, 2021Slight lemon drop oaky vanilla tastes young and crisp but 12 years makes a great old fashioned
Oban Bay Reserve (Game of Thrones-The Night's Watch)
Peated Single Malt — Highlands, ScotlandReviewed December 23, 2021Oban nights watch like a younger oban 14 maybe with a little more orange 🍊 would love to do a side by side
Angel's Envy Bourbon Finished in Port Wine Barrels
Bourbon — Kentucky, USAReviewed December 23, 2021Really unique strawberry 🍓 and red berry on the initial sip and evolves into a nice bourbon really like port barrel finished whiskies and this one delivers somewhere between basil Hayden dark rye and crown royal winter wheat a really nice balance and love the bottle
Dalmore 15 Year
Single Malt — Highlands, ScotlandReviewed December 4, 2021Smooooooth. Slight Christmas spice fruit cake flavours slight ash wish it could be 46% and no colour added but it is a crowd pleaser smooth and rich.
Single Malt — Islay, ScotlandReviewed December 4, 2021This Islay has a profile like a glendronach. Love the sweet sherry influence and I get this weird ashy dark fruit finish and I love it but kind of one note sweet sherry bomb but rather have a cask strength aberlour abundah or other cask strength sherry bombs
