God I love Foursquare. This is my second release of there's to try and not disappointed in the slightest. Wonderful smell full of vanilla, sugarcane, light brown spices, bit of apricot. Already makes me want to be on a beach. Taste caresses you with a nice sweet start, with some sugarcane and tropical fruits. Great mouth feel, not too oily or thin. Taste transforms into medium brown spices, caramel, tobacco, leather. Lingers forever. Would be 5 stars but I enjoyed the slap-in-the-face style of the 2007 just a bit more.

Peerless Single Barrel Kentucky Straight Rye "Toffee and Tobacco"
Rye — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed August 29, 2020 (edited November 18, 2021)This is amazing. Nose is sweet, caramel and vanilla with a splash of spice. Coats your mouth with a luxurious creamy rye feel, taste of toffee and caramel and vanilla at the front, followed by bitter sweet tobacco, some brown spices, bit of citrus. Incredibly long, smooth finish that floats back to the sweet notes. Dram, that's good whiskey. Take a trip to Peerless Distilling in Louisville, it's the only place you can get their single barrel masterpieces. Tastings are only $8 for 4 wonderful bottles (and maybe a bonus pour if you're lucky) -
Angel's Envy Cask Strength Bourbon Finished in Port Wine Barrels (2019 Edition)
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed August 29, 2020Very, very smooth. The rye spice balances out the sweetness from the corn, and the port wine cask finish adds that dry tannins flavor and mouth feel. Nice medium length finish where some of the rye spices linger. Once again, biggest thing on this one was how smooth it was.
