Eagle Rare 10 Year Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed August 28, 2020 (edited September 4, 2020)Honestly this is like the 15th whiskey I've tasted today and it's not standing out too much. It's a solid bourbon, you can tell it's age by the oaky, vanilla flavors. Bit spicy and that lingers for a while. Thin mouth feel. It's... A bourbon. -
Michter's US*1 Toasted Barrel Finish Bourbon (2014 Release)
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed August 28, 2020Very grassy flavors. Bread, sweet corn, bit of spice that carries into the finish. -
Blanton's Original Single Barrel
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed August 27, 2020 (edited September 2, 2020)Very well balanced for a single barrel. Sweet, long, vanilla finish is the most notable thing. -
Old Dominick Huling Station Straight Bourbon
Bourbon — Tennessee, USA
Reviewed August 26, 2020 (edited March 15, 2022)They managed to capture the spicy rye flavor with a very smooth, low burn. Thin mouth feel and short finish are the only downsides. Not bad at all considering I'm tasting it out if a plastic cup. But hey, guess that's Beale st. -
Wow. From the start it's wonderful with a beautiful rosey color. Nose is sweet vanilla and oak. Little bread like. A sweet cake. Taste is immersive, with tobacco and leather up front, sweet caramel to mellow it out, spicy hot sensations. Long, bitter, spicy, hot linger. At 59%?! Incredible. This is definitely a bourbon drinkers rum. This is a win.
