Hot on the palate. I was hoping this was going to be a cheaper version of their Distiller’s Release/Reserve but sadly “no”. It was just a hot version of the standard Woodford Reserve, which is fine. What I was hoping for was a more intense flavor profile of the usual 90.4 proof of Woodford Reserve. The extra ethanol overwhelmed the subtle, restrained profile of 90.4 Woodford Reserve.Nestor Liquor

Decent sipper, standard high rye bourbon profile. Decent but not great. There are other low-proof sippers (43% ABV) and low age sippers that are better. For the price (assuming MSRP) you could Eagle Rare 10 for about the same price with an age statement of 10 years. Eagle Rare 10 is a much better sip for the same price.43.0 USD per BottleFlaviar

Pretty standard bourbon tasting profile. Not bad but not great either. Seven bourbons were blended together to create this bourbon but there is no age statement, not surprised since they blended seven different bourbons. Personally though, there are several BIBs that you could easily pick up in the forty to fifty dollar price range that are just as good if not better than this blend. I’m all for bourbon blends, but I don’t think much there was much thought put into the Corn Trooper blend beyond “Let’s blend seven bourbons together and market it as seven bourbon blend”.71.0 USD per BottleFlaviar
