Old Pulteney 12 Year
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed August 14, 2017 (edited November 16, 2017)A great little warmer that really does put you in an old, dark tavern, on a rainy night by the sea. It's salty and briny with vegetation, roasted nuts, citrus fruits, and rich, sweet, decadent malt. The finish is a bit hot. An amazing dram that is now officially one of my favorites. I'll be seeking out Old Pulteney every where I go from now on. -

Glenmorangie Bacalta
Single Malt — Highland, Scotland
Reviewed June 18, 2017 (edited April 24, 2018)Honey mead dominates, dessert wine, melon, candied fruits, caramel, butterscotch, vanilla, maple syrup, brandy, cream soda, candle, Mexican candy chili powder. EXTREMELY decadent, if your not a fan of sweet give this a pass. I for one am in love and shall saver every drop. Quite possibly the best Scottish whiskey I've every tried. -
oak, cherry cola, burnt butterscotch, big red gum, peanut butter oatmeal cookies, hints of corn & earth, oily short spicy finish, doesn't hide it's heat very well but never overbearing. Overall great stuff for the $16 price tag. If I tried this in a blind tasting I would assume a whiskey of higher caliber. Quality way past the price tag. I would definitely buy this again.
