Nose: char, apple Palate: smoke, toffee Finish: spicy, orange zest Smooth and flavorful

Nose: figs, chocolate syrup, cherries Palate: sherry, chocolate Finish: long, mulled cider, jam Incredibly smooth for cask strength. Big flavors. These single cask bottlings can be hit or miss but this one was a hit.

Nose: apples, grapes Palate: orange, sherry, smooth Finish: long, more sherry Smooth and good for sherry lovers

Nose: ethanol, corn, apple Palate: oak, bitter Finish: short, caramel Meh

Nose: cocoa, marshmallow Palate: rich mouthfeel, toasted oak, caramel corn Finish: moderately long, marshmallow, orange, oak Nice rich rye

Nose: apples, pears, oak Palate: more oak, sherry Finish: relatively long, more sherry Not super deep but for the level of aging this is very smooth and enjoyable.

Nose: cherries, oak, smoke Palate: caramel, fruit, ash Finish: oaky, bourbon-y Was expecting a bit more smoke but I think the bottle at the bar was about 1/4 full so some of the smokiness may have evaporated. Interesting mix of flavors, tastes like a peated Speyside malt.

Nose: corn, ethanol, orange Palate: spicy, barrel char, ethanol Finish: more spice and ethanol Smoother than their standard bourbon but still harsher than it should be. Not as deep flavor profile as the wheated.

Nose: pumpernickel Palate: more pumpernickel Finish: pumpernickel Definitely a rye… smooth and flavorful but it’s basically like drinking rye bread.

Rating at the distillery: Nose: toffee, candy corn Palate: barrel char, chocolate Finish: orange, brown sugar Much more complex than their standard wheated bourbon. Oily mouthfeel. Rating of the bottle I took home: Very bad. Weird sour aftertaste that lingers for a very long time. Maybe I just grabbed a bad bottle but it’s nothing like what I tasted at the distillery.
