Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed December 20, 2022 (edited August 26, 2023)Nose: boozy, fruity, vanilla frosting Palate: baking spices, caramel, vanilla Finish: cinnamon, orange peel More citrusy and spicy than the usual maker’s profile. A bit thin on the mouthfeel but thickens a bit with the addition of a few drops of water. -
Edradour 10 Year The Distillery Edition
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed December 16, 2022 (edited December 20, 2022)Nose: caramel apples, figs, eucalyptus Palate: sweet, sherry, chocolate, chewy mouthfeel Finish: medium length, more chocolate Not as potent as some of the single cask offerings from edradour/signatory vintage but still a solid dram. -
Lagavulin Offerman Edition Charred Oak Cask
Single Malt — Islay, Scotland
Reviewed December 9, 2022 (edited December 10, 2022)Nose: orange zest, herbal, vanilla Palate: oaky, peat, light smoke. Viscous mouthfeel Finish: more oak, peat, spicy Not as sweet as the Guinness finish and more oaky/bitter than the original Offerman. Still tasty.
