This is a must buy for me if I see it on the shelves. Every single bottle I have opened (which is a few) leave me with a smile from the neck pour all the way to the bottom of the bottle. This beauty is smooth as anyone could hope for at 100 proof. Sweet, caramel, hint of vanilla but not overpoweringly sweet....perfect smooth burn on the palate and aftertaste. I really love this bottle and if you can't handle this straight then I suggest looking in the wine cooler section because this baby is delish!

It's sweet, vanilla and caramel toffee on the palate. Easy and delicious to drink neat. I don't love the fact it has a twist off cap vs a cork. For a limited release printed on the bottle I found this choice poor. Makers makes a quality bourbon and the higher proof makes this drink far superior to the standard but I have to say for the makers brand if you are going to spend the money on this bottle, if you can find the cask strength, that is the better choice for the added price.

Very smooth mouthfeel with a bit of spice on the back end. Really nice dram but if I were looking at Kentucky Owl Confiscated vs Takumi, for the relatively same price point I do prefer the oakiness of Confiscated more than this offering. Really nice bourbon and a really nice looking label/bottle and for 50% ABV it goes down very easily...perhaps too easily?

Full disclosure I don't think I am a fan of Laphroaig. There is some flavour that i get that reminds me of plasticine...i found this bottle unenjoyable and it was probably my most regrettable purchase. I love many peated scotches but this one was a total womp, womp for me

This beautiful bourbon lives up to its name...she brings the Oak! This is a truly fantastic bottle with a wonderful mouthfeel that coats your palate. Sweetness, oak and a comforting finish makes this bottle a perfect bottle that delivers everytime.

For a bottle over $350 you are better off buying a bottle of Jonny Black and use the leftover money to go buy a real bottle of whiskey. I think the only way this is getting the ratings it is getting is because people become biased once they spend this kind of money on 40% swill.

Trash. The entire 40% abv walker lineup is uninspired. Did blind taste test with Black, Gold and Blue and they all tasted the same...if there was 1 clear winner it is Jonny Black.

Mild spice, sweetness and subtle vanilla come to mind when sipping. If I had one complaint it would be it's too easy to drink. Little thin on the mouthfeel which is what drops my rating below 4 but this is a perfect buy for anyone that is a bourbon enthusiast that doesn't drink barrel proof heat. Being single barrel you will always find slightly different tasting notes on each barrel but every batch is enjoyable. Any additon of water to this is unnecessary.

This Scotch is a homerun just based on the flavour but when you see the price it becomes a steal of a bottle. The nose is pure delicious campfire. The taste is full bodied, excellent mouthfeel. Smoke, seaweed, peat, ocean notes all come to play in a well balanced way. Zero need to drink this with any water added. Neat is the way!

Fantastic Dram. Delicous and complex drinking neat. Coastal notes, seaweed, peat with a mild pepper spice. Peat not overwhelming but present.
