Mason Dixon Distillery C.S. Reaser's Special Bourbon Whiskey
Bourbon — Gettysburg, PA, USA
Reviewed January 10, 2025 (edited January 11, 2025)It has gentle nuanced notes beautifully intertwined with bold bold ones. At 115.8 proof you are going to need to take a small sip or two in order to acclimate your palate to the proof (and/or add an ice cube) before you can really dive into what is in this bottle but once you do, oh my, you will find toasted almonds, sweet tobacco, and leather on the nose, toffee, honey, and a hint of vanilla in the body, and the finish is going to hit you with a momentary flash of blackberry mint that quickly turns into a peppercorn and ginger spicy finish. This is VERY complex whiskey that does NOT disappoint!75.0 USD per BottleMason Dixon Distillery -
Nose explodes into freshly sliced green apple and pear notes, and doesn’t let up on the tart aroma all the way up to the first sip. The initial Palate transitions into a sweet vanilla flavor at the front end but then quickly changes back to toasted apple/pears into the middle and back end of the palate, reminiscent of the nose. The finish is short and tangy, with a hint of mint at the end. All in all, the Nose, Palate, and Finish all complement each other respectively and are a nice juicy experience to pair with a hot summers day.

The palate gives way to a sweeter, fruit-filled front end and then envelopes into pepper and tobacco on the finish. With a medium finish, the burn of pepper will linger just long enough to recharge for the next sweet sip.49.99 USD per Bottle -
