Honestly, pretty mild. It has the sweet wheat flavor, but nothing super loud or complex. But, it is also 90 proof.

Tons of sherry and the slightest smoke. It’s delicious. Damn near tastes like an Irish with how fruity it is.

This is very complex. It comes on a bit like sherried scotch, but then that quickly dissipates to a sweetness that’s nearly characteristic of rum. Granted, I’m not very familiar with cognac. It’s interesting, but not one I’d have very often.

Succulent. I’m getting pie crust, graham cracker, slight spice. It’s great, especially if you’re not a big rye drinker. Great conversation whiskey.

A sentimental one for me, but in all honesty, it’s awesome. Tastes like EH Taylor Small Batch or Eagle Rare. For its msrp, it would be hard to beat.

Indulgent and hearty. It’s a great sipper to really relish. Edit: Trying this again on a fresh bottle. Nice and sweet, a bit of rye. Great taste.

Extremely rich, like candy that somehow turns to cream of corn. It’s think and interesting.

This is one you have to leave on your tongue a bit, but if you do, you do get some of that chocolate and Guinness influence. I’m not sure a pleated scotch would have been my choice for this, because you have to really look through its assault to get those notes. With that being said, it does mellow quickly, and is a good pour overall.

Fruity and rich with tannic richness. Just an all around great bourbon. Get at Costco if you can, but I don’t think you’d be upset getting at $125. It’s good and it’s well-rounded.

A robust flavor. You can taste the malt (obviously), but the rye doesn’t get lost either. This is one that will add a pleasant variety to a collection of ryes, with its apple sweetness mixing with the rye earthy tones.
