Tastes

Strong red wine influence.

Extremely smooth and light almost to a fault. Nothing that jumps out as every taste comes across as slight hints of flavor.

Christmas in a glass! If you like bourbon and nocino you will love the taste...the sum is far greater than the parts.

Strong corn notes on the nose. Semi-harsh okay taste that mellow over time. Pleasant finish that is reminiscent of corn nuts.

Wonderful peaty nose but taste does not hold hold up to the nose. Slight maritime peat with hints of green apple on the finish.

Immediate hickory nose with misquete elements. A definite step up from regular Basil Hayden. Taste has strong wood notes but not in a bad way. Finish is short but very pleasant.

Very subtle nose, not much smoke at all--not sure there is enough peat to consider use it as a descriptor. Very smooth. Goes down easy with the slight heat on finish. Some banana notes with butterscotch chip.

Nose is pleasant but hard to identify, somewhat green grain smell. High quality rye flavor but taste really blossoms with a few drops of water. Proof is surprising given overall smoothness. Almost a bubble gum flavor coming through. Finish is long and full.

Nose is not pleasant, almost rotten bog smell... not as pleasant as traditional peated scotches. Almost damp boggy smell. Taste is decent for entry level scotch, but better as a mixer. Smooth and mildly peaty.
