I prefer this whiskey over most Irish whiskies I’ve had. It has more robust flavors than a typical Irish whiskey. It’s a bit hot but you have nice flavors of honey, spice and burnt oak.

This is a very interesting whisky and I haven’t tried something like this before. On the nose is bubble gum and banana. On the palate is a lot of vanilla and almond extract. Medium spice finish with burnt oak and caramel. Definitely not your everyday pour but a fun one to try.

The toffee is the dominate flavor of this whisky and dry oak comes in nicely at the finish.

I like the direction that this distillery is going and its great to read about how they only use renewable energy to run their distillery. For being only three years old, the whisky has a lot of promise moving forward with older barrel stocks. But for the time being the flavors are light and the youthfulness is still relatively noticeable.

The 10 year that i tried was the 40% abv and it lacked a lot of flavor since it was very watered down. the peat is medicinal if you like that kind of thing. Maybe the 43% abv is slightly better?

The peat on the nose is more like cured meats then what i call burnt plastic tires like many peated scotches. the palate has a lot of vanilla sweetness to it.
